Thomas Balcom, FNP

Thomas Balcom moved from Florence, Oregon to the valley to pursue a Bachelor Degree in Anthropology followed by a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Thomas worked as a critical care nurse at Salem Hospital for 11 years before becoming a Family Nurse Practitioner through Gonzaga University, helping fulfill his desire to make a larger impact in his community.

Thomas enjoys working with people. Volunteering at an orphanage for handicapped children in Mexico during his adolescence sparked a passion for serving others, a passion that grew in later years as Thomas helped at summer camps for impoverished youth in rural Romania. Thomas believes in using a personalized approach to medical care, and he values the connections he has formed with patients over the years. His particular interests in medicine include men’s health and providing care across the lifespan.

Thomas is invested in the Dallas community where he has lived with his family since 2014. When he is not at the office, Thomas enjoys spending time with his wife Julia and their children, hiking or fly fishing. He volunteers with his local church and gives back to the community by providing high quality, individualized medical care.
